đź“ş Most popular movies on Prime this week

Action, adventure, animated crime fighters—the 10 most popular movies on Amazon Prime Video this week have it all. The streaming platform features thousands upon thousands of exciting titles, but these films are piquing viewers’ interest the most at the moment.

The majority of Prime Video’s top 10 movies fall into the action category, which isn’t all that surprising, considering the genre’s seemingly growing popularity over the decades among movie fans.

The list this week includes not one, not two, but three of Tom Cruise’s greatest hits—two “Mission: Impossible” films as well as the critically acclaimed “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Elsewhere in the action genre, the 1989 edition of “Road House,” starring Patrick Swayze, has also made the top 10. It’s safe to say that the film’s much-talked-about remake, which stars Jake Gyllenhaal and will debut on Prime Video on March 21, likely has something to do with the original’s popularity on the platform. Viewers may be curious to see how the two films stack up against one another.

To find out what other films Prime Video audiences are watching this week, Stacker used data from Reelgood to determine the most popular movies on the streaming platform as of March 8. Additional information from IMDb has been included for further insights into these films. Read on to learn which movies you should watch next, and tune back in next week for an updated list.
